November has been an incredible month for the team!
We kicked off November by bringing our annual End of Year Celebration down from our rooftop to the lawns of Hindmarsh Square – and what a night it was!
Thank you to those who came along to Hindmarsh Square and helped us celebrate what has been a fantastic 2017, but also our 6th Birthday!
Now, as you may already know, it’s not a Magnetic Alliance event without a Jack Gleeson run Charity Auction! This year we chose OzHarvest, Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, collecting quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivering it directly to more than 1000 charities supporting people in need across the country; to be our charity of choice.
We put Jack’s auctioneer talents to the test with 8 items up for bidding and the result far exceeded our expectations! With the help of our guests, we managed to raise over 12600 meals for OzHarvest South Australia through the charity auction alone! To top it off, we ourselves will also be donating an extra 1000 meals to OzHarvest, bringing the total to 13, 600 meals raised for the less fortunate in our community.
Congratulations to Tejas Patel from the Aussizz Group for winning the bid on our biggest item – the Sun Runner Yacht Cruise; donated by Gold Sponsor Monopoly Property Group. Enjoy your day out on the seas!
A huge round of applause and gratitude has to be given to our fantastic guests for joining in the auction and our terrific sponsors for supporting this cause.
We also couldn’t have put on a successful event without the support of our event sponsors who donated their time, goods and services. We’d like to especially thank Thomas Foods International for keeping us fed with their gourmet steaks and sausages (they were just flying off the grill!) and to Hollick Estates for keeping the bar stocked with delicious wines from the Coonawarra region.
