Time is fast running out for go-ahead companies in South Australia to get their name and achievements in lights for 2017.
Nominations for this year’s Fast Movers program, led by BDO SA and Brand South Australia and which sets out to recognise the most innovative and fastest-growing small to medium-sized businesses in SA, will close on Thursday.
Jack Gleeson from Adelaide business growth consultancy Magnetic Alliance, which came second last year, said the award had been hugely beneficial.
“The recognition we received didn’t just put more weight behind our credibility, it also provided us great opportunities to connect with Adelaide’s business community,” Mr Gleeson said.
“In the last 12 months we’ve enjoyed increased brand exposure and had the opportunity to meet motivated and inspiring business owners.
“To be able to share our experiences and what we can do as a business with our local community has been very humbling.”
He said a core business focus was essential for aspiring nominees.
“Once you are clear and committed to your purpose and vision, accept that you must become very disciplined in taking the steps to achieve it,” he said.
“Fast Movers is an excellent program and a fantastic opportunity to raise your profile as a South Australian company and showcase the value that your business can offer to Adelaide’s growing business community.
“The application process is also very insightful – you get to reflect on why you do what you do.”
Ish Davies, executive general manager of media partner News Corp (SA), urged fast-moving South Australian companies to nominate and put themselves in the running for a range of prizes.
“News Corp is once again pleased to be supporting such an important program, one that showcases some of the state’s most exciting and promising ventures,” he said.
Nominations are for SA businesses with an annual turnover of $200,000 over the past three years, with the chance to win $10,000 plus other prizes.
The top 25 South Australian Fast Movers (2017) will be announced on May 31.
